The Acura Integra Type S is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated luxury sports cars on the market, and we now know its Canadian price range.

It can be said that the Japanese manufacturer has scored big points since the announcement of the return of the Integra, a legendary name. I really liked the ILX in its form and concept, but the truth is that it lacked a bit of punch, like all the marketing around the model. However, the Integra is a car that everyone knows, and its name means something to brand enthusiasts. Needless to say, they were positively surprised to learn that the Japanese manufacturer's entry-level sedan would also receive an ultimate sporty Type S version.

The Integra will be the 4th vehicle of the modern era of Acura to receive this designation after the TLX, MDX, and NSX.

Powerful mechanics

Things are going quite well for the Japanese manufacturer since it identifies itself primarily as a sports brand, and its popularity continues to increase thanks to models like the Integra. If all goes well, the latter should quickly rise to the top of Acura's sales in the next year.

It has the name, it has the design, but what truly allows the Acura Integra to shine within the automotive community is its mechanical aspect. In its "regular" version, the small sports sedan from the Japanese manufacturer is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that delivers 200 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque. It can be paired with a manual or automatic transmission of choice. In both cases, power is transmitted to the front wheels.

Where it becomes even more serious is with the Integra Type S, which offers a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine. It essentially adopts the same engine as the Civic Type R, with a power output of 320 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. Moreover, there is only one option here for the transmission, and that is a 6-speed manual gearbox. Thanks to this engine, it is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 5.7 seconds.

The right price

Now, let's talk about what interests us today, which is the price of the Acura Integra 2023. In its regular version, the sports sedan from the Japanese manufacturer costs between $41,560 and $47,060 depending on the chosen version. However, there is a slight jump forward in the case of the Type S version, with a starting price of $58,195.
